The two have formed a strong bond, even though Day will never be Haskins’ head coach.Yesterday, Haskins announced his decision to enter the 2019 NFL Draft. Today, Day shared a heartfelt message of support for his QB on Twitter.“So proud of how far you have come. You have made us all proud and we are sad to see you go but excited to follow your career,” Day tweeted. So proud of how far you have come. Now he’ll turn his attention to the NFL.It seems like he is virtually a lock to be the first quarterback off the board, and could go as high as No. 1 if a team maneuvers its way up the draft board to get him.Day, meanwhile, will look to replace Haskins with either backup Tate Martell or Georgia transfer Justin Fields, provided he obtains a waiver from the NCAA to play immediately. If Fields gets that waiver, Ohio State’s QB battle will be one of the major story lines of the college football offseason.
