There is no limit to the number of residents in the city who apply for membership in the Network. To apply, you need to access the documents listed on the official website and find out what it takes to make the city a creative city of the UNESCO network. The network today numbers 180 cities from 72 countries from all parts of the world. By joining the Network, cities acknowledge their commitment to sharing best practices, developing partnerships that promote creativity and cultural industries, strengthening participation in cultural life, and urban development plans. The UNESCO network of creative cities covers seven creative areas: crafts and folk art, design, film, gastronomy, literature, media arts and music. Incomplete applications or those received after that date will not be evaluated.
