Join the lottery by submitting an application through the lotteries page on Recreation.gov or via the recreation.gov app. Mark your calendars, river rats. The 2020 river permit lottery season begins on December 1. That’s the day you’ll be able to enter the lottery for your chance to raft, kayak or canoe some of the most famous waterways in the United States. Lotteries will be held for permits on the following rivers: Middle Fork of the Salmon River; Salmon River; Snake River—Hells Canyon; Selway River; Rogue River; Desolation Gray—Green River; Salt River, Dinosaur Green and Yampa River; and the San Juan River. It’s believed that the cows swam four or five miles across Core Sound and washed up on the shores of Cape Lookout, pushed by the strong storm surge. Had the cows not had their lucky break and washed ashore on Cape Lookout, they almost certainly would have been swept out into the open sea and drowned. Are you looking for a primitive outdoor experience but don’t want to brave the elements? Six new camping cabins at Goose Creek State Park offer campers an upgrade from tent camping. The new camping cabins feature air conditioning, heat, and electrical outlets and can sleep up to six people. Outside of the each cabin is a grill, fire ring, picnic table and tent pad. All cabins have a covered front porch with Adirondack chairs. A bathhouse with showers and sinks is also available on site. 2020 river lottery season opens on December 1 Goose Creek State Park in Beaufort County, NC opens new camping cabins When Hurricane Dorian slammed into the North Carolina coast in September it had a devastating effect on the wild cattle that call the area home. On Cedar Island, which was hit with Category 1 force winds and rain, all 20 of the wild cows that lived on the island disappeared after the storm. The cows were assumed dead, but a month later one was seen at Cape Lookout National Seashore. A few weeks later, two more cows were spotted in the same area. Three cows that went missing during Hurricane Dorian are found on an island miles away from shore The new campground also has 22 RV campsites. “For the people that like primitive sites they can continue to come and enjoy the primitive sites,” park superintendent Doug Lequire told WITN news. “For the people that want a little higher end camping or a little bit more modern camping they can come and stay at our RV sites.”

Ghana youth defender Patrick Asmah is set to join Italian Serie A side Atalanta after agreeing a 4 year deal with the club.Asmah joins a whole host of players to have deported the shores of the country in search of greener pastures. However, the BA United left back joins a select few to move directly from Ghana to a top European league over the last few seasons.Chelsea full back Baba Rahman was the last to move from Kotoko to Greuther Fürth, who were 0in the Bundesliga at that time. The norm has seen Ghanaian players roam through Scandinavian or other African countries before making the giant step to the major European leagues. For Asmah, his agent Oliver Arthur believes his outstanding display at the FIFA under 20 World Cup stood him in good standing for the deal. “Asmah is moving directly from Ghana to Atalanta. If the player is a young player who has prospects and is possible to develop, it is possible to get him to mainstream Europe,” Oliver told Joy Sports“Asmah is in Ghana now, he never came for trials in Italy but based on his performance at the under 20 World Cup, I was able to convince Atalanta to give him a contract to get him into Europe.”“I’m sure Asmah something big in the future.”Asmah was also a member of Ghana’s under 23 team that had an abysmal showing at the All African Games in Congo-Brazzaville. – Follow Joy Sports on Twitter: @JoyFMSports. Newcastle, who haven’t won the FA Cup since 1955, host fellow Premier League club Watford in the fourth round.– Wednesday book Chelsea clash –In the night’s other third-round replays, Sheffield Wednesday booked a trip to holders Chelsea as the second-tier strugglers won 1-0 at League One side Luton.Wednesday are without a permanent manager while they wait for Steve Bruce to take charge on February 1.But the Championship outfit avoided an upset at Kenilworth Road against a Luton team who are chasing promotion after a 13-match unbeaten run.Atdhe Nuhiu won it for Wednesday when the striker’s effort was deflected past James Shea in the 46th minute.Luton came close to levelling with 13 minutes to go when James Collins diverted Sonny Bradley’s header on to a post.Bradley’s header was then nodded off the line by Nuhiu in the closing moments.Luton’s previous manager Nathan Jones recently left to take charge at Stoke, but his first home game in charge of the Championship side was ruined by third-tier Shrewsbury’s remarkable 3-2 win.Jones’ team appeared to be cruising after a first-half double from teenager Tyrese Campbell, the son of former Arsenal and Everton striker Kevin Campbell. However, James Bolton netted 19 minutes left before Fejiri Okenabirhie equalised from the penalty spot in the 77th minute.Josh Laurent capped the stunning fightback when he struck in the 81st minute to earn a fourth-round home tie against Premier League side Wolves. London, United Kingdom | AFP | Newcastle survived an FA Cup scare at Blackburn as they blew a two-goal lead before hitting back to win 4-2 after extra time in Tuesday’s third-round replay.Rafael Benitez sent out an under-strength line-up featuring eight changes from Newcastle’s 2-1 defeat at Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday. The stand-ins made a fast start when Sean Longstaff scored his first goal for Newcastle. The 21-year-old found the net inside the first minute with a deflected strike from outside the penalty area.Callum Roberts, handed his first Newcastle appearance since January 2015, doubled their lead in the 22nd minute with his first goal for the club. But Blackburn pulled a goal back 12 minutes before half-time through former Newcastle forward Adam Armstrong. And Republic of Ireland international Darragh Lenihan equalised for Blackburn with a header in first-half stoppage time.It took extra time to settle the tie, with Blackburn’s Bradley Dack missing a golden chance before Joselu pounced to slot home in the 105th minute after Rovers goalkeeper David Raya spilled Fabian Schar’s drive.Blackburn complained in vain that Joselu was offside.Ayoze Perez completed Newcastle’s escape act moments later when he cut in from the right and fired home.“We went 2-0 up and then Blackburn did well, but we reacted so I’m pleased with the effort and the commitment of the players. The young players did well,” Benitez said.Yet injuries to defenders Ciaran Clark and Jamaal Lascelles will cast a shadow over the win for Benitez.“We need to wait tomorrow and see how they are, and if they cannot play then we will bring another one in,” Benitez said. Israel was referring to last week’s 25-15 vote in Tallahassee, in which the State Senate voted to uphold Governor Ron DeSantis’ decision to remove Israel from office. DeSantis suspended Israel last January, claiming that Israel’s incompetence resulted in his deputies’ poor performance in responding to last year’s shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.Israel maintains that he was removed only because DeSantis is a Republican and Israel is a Democrat. He provided examples of other mass shootings around the country as proof of his explanation. He says, “No sheriff, no elected official, no police chief has been suspended. Just me.”Israel also referred to many of his deputies as “brave” and “heroes” in their response to the shooting. He adds, “We had one deputy that didn’t go in, referring to Deputy Scot Peterson. “It wasn’t a training issue. It wasn’t a policy issue. It was a fear issue.”The former sheriff says he will run again for that position in 2020, and that he believes the voters still want him as their sheriff.“They understand this election was stolen from them, that the 2016 election for sheriff was wiped out,” Israel says of voters. “The sheriff of any county in America is not the sheriff of one group of people or one city or one town or one area. You’re the sheriff of everyone in the county. As I’ve said all along, the only one responsible for taking lives that day was the evil killer,” referring to accused shooter Nikolas Cruz.850 WFTL’s Karen Curtis will soon interview Scott Israel, as well as his replacement and campaign rival, Gregory Tony. Former Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel says his removal from office was purely political. He tells a local reporter, “It was a political sham. They dealt from the bottom of the deck. We had no chance of ever prevailing.”

(Washington, DC) — President Trump is still enjoying gorgeous golfing weather while vacationing at Mar-a-Lago on Palm Beach. But Trump took time out from relaxation to again rail against impeachment on Twitter. Trump tweeted that impeachment by the House is part of an ongoing “witch hunt” that is “sputtering badly, but still going on.” He argued that it is hurting the U.S. by creating more division than ever. Trump added — “A lot of very good people were taken down by a small group of Dirty (Filthy) Cops, politicians (and) government officials” who “SPIED” on his 2016 campaign in an “illegal” investigation. Trump is continuing a long holiday vacation at his resort in Florida. President Trump has enjoyed beautiful weather while at the winter white house and has been able to play a round of golf nearly every day at one of his clubs. He is playing again today.
